The collaboration between Archiproducts Milano and Sikkens, the Dutch paint brand, continues with a new appointment dedicated to color research. On November 11, the Milanese Design hub hosted the official launch of Colour Futures™ 2026, the annual project that translates global cultural shifts into palettes for interior design.
The event, led by Heleen van Gent, Creative Director of AkzoNobel’s Global Aesthetic Center, brought together architects and industry professionals for an evening focused on the language of color. The conversation was enriched by the presence of Studiopepe, with Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, who explored the role of color in contemporary design.
The first floor of the building, set up with a dedicated audio and video installation, welcomed more than 70 guests. After the presentation, a networking moment turned the evening into an opportunity for exchange and connection.
The three palettes for 2026
At the center of the presentation The Rhythm of Blues was a chromatic family built around three creative directions, each guided by a different shade of blue.

Free Colours – Free Groove™ is the boldest blue in the collection. Vibrant and confident, it opens to combinations that invite creativity and experimentation. Around this central hue unfolds a lively palette of intense yellows, bright greens and warm browns.

Flow Colours – Mellow Flow™ is a light, airy sky blue at the heart of a palette designed for warm and connected interiors. Earthy tones, ranging from terracotta to clay, blend with soft beiges, dusty pinks and warm neutrals to create a natural balance.

Slow Colours – Slow Swing™ is a deep and contemplative blue that shapes calm and soothing atmospheres. Brown tones, natural blues and subtle neutrals, from cream to cooler beiges, set the tone for soft and introspective spaces.
According to the Global Aesthetic Center, these three shades reflect the different ways people respond to global change, from those seeking a slower and more intimate dimension to those embracing a spontaneous and playful approach.
