The new episode of Archiproducts’ Design Talks is about “Exploring materials” with Elisa Ossino – founder and creative director of Elisa Ossino Studio, William Lucchetta – CEO and founder of the Cimento® brand, and Nicolò Parrinello – CEO and co-founder of the Ninefifty brand.
Each participant brings a unique approach to the topic, sharing compelling stories of their experimentation. On the one hand, the brands are constantly engaged in material research, closely linked to their local contexts, in search of novel and sustainable solutions. On the other, designers play a crucial role in creatively shaping these results, giving the materials ever new forms.

Elisa Ossino, Elisa Ossino Studio
Architect and interior designer Elisa Ossino was born in Sicily and studied at the Politecnico di Milano. In 2006 she founded Studio Elisa Ossino, specialising in art direction, set design, styling, residential and commercial interiors and product design. Her approach is based on the use of essential, monochromatic geometric forms combined with artistic elements to create spaces that convey a sense of scenic suspension in an evocative relationship between space, light and objects.
In 2004, she collaborated with the children’s design brand Nume, for which she created a furniture collection and the brand’s visual identity. In 2010, she participated in the Officina Temporanea project, which combines design and artistic expression with a focus on social issues, demonstrating her interest in the intersection of art, design and social responsibility.
While maintaining her distinctive style, Ossino has collaborated with such furniture industry brands as Living Divani, Salvatori, Rubelli, Boffi, Desalto, Foscarini, Spotti, De Padova, Molteni & C. and Zanotta.
William Lucchetta, Cimento®
CEO and founder of Cimento®, William Lucchetta, began his career at SAI Industry, a leading company in the design and development of custom furniture for the contract sector. His constant search for innovative, high-quality solutions led him to patent Cimento®.
The new brand opened up important collaborations in the design and architecture sectors. In 2019, Lucchetta met architect Aldo Parisotto, with whom he established a first partnership to launch the Cimento® collection, a line of furniture that combines material and sculptural qualities.
Numerous collaborations with international designers followed, including Defne Koz & Marco Susani, Omri Revesz, Studio 63, Parisotto+Formenton, Patricia Urquiola, BBa Studio and Elisa Ossino, offering new narrative possibilities between technology development and a sustainable approach.
Nicolò Parrinello, Ninefifty
Nicolò Parrinello is the CEO and co-founder of Ninefifty. He is the second generation to head the company, founded in Caltagirone, Sicily, a town renowned for producing artistic ceramics.
An expert in creating floors and surfaces in clay and lava majolica from Mount Etna, Ninefifty reinterprets traditional methods through new and contemporary processes, promoting the region and minimising waste.
The creative direction entrusted to designer Margherita Rui was central to the brand’s birth, contributing to the union of creativity, research and experimentation to enhance the expressiveness of materials.
In 2020, Ninefifty debuted at EDIT Naples, where the Alphabet collection won the award for best new product.
