24Bottles® for the 2019 ADA Night Party

The plastic-free bottles brand partners with the Archiproducts Design Awards night

What are the award ceremony colors for the 2019 Archiproducts Design Awards? Prosecco Gold and Tuxedo Black according to 24Bottles®, the Italian startup that has revolutionized the world of “zero impact” bottles by merging design and sustainability. The plastic-free company has chosen to sponsor the closing event of ADA’s fourth edition by giving its guests hundreds of Prosecco Gold Clima and Urban Tuxedo Black Bottles personalized with the Archiproducts logo.

“We think that good aesthetics can be an excellent lever to convince everyone to adopt healthy habits and lifestyles,” explain the founders of 24Bottles®, Giovanni Randazzo and Matteo Melotti. Established in 2013, the brand aims to create useful, functional, and beautiful objects to reduce the impact of disposable plastic bottles. According to them, “Our goal is to combine form and function to offer unique collections of light bottles and coordinated accessories to favor a more sustainable and comfortable lifestyle.”

Design therefore invites people to live in harmony with the environment by offering solutions to problems caused by climate change. This theme also played a fundamental role at the Archiproducts Design Awards this year, with the network choosing our company as a partner at the closing celebrations.

The same ideal has already been embraced by many other designers and brands, such as Emilio Pucci, Vivienne Westwood, Elena Salmistraro, Nike, and Diesel who have designed new and highly personalized collections for 24Bottles®. Even X Factor, Sky’s talent show, has chosen the company as an official partner of its 13th edition to promote and adopt behaviors against disposable plastic.

The brand produces three models of eco-friendly bottles: the Urban Bottle, which is the world’s lightest stainless steel bottle, the Clima Bottle, which can keep drinks hot for 12 hours and cold for 24, and the Infuser Bottle to carry infusions and herbal teas at all times. Each bottle is colored with constantly changing palettes and textures while displaying the number -0.08, which is the amount of CO2 that is not released into the atmosphere every time you choose to reuse your “bottle” instead of buying one in plastic.

With 24Bottles®, however, the focus on sustainability goes beyond production and the choice of raw materials. In fact, the company calculates the carbon footprint of the bottles at each stage of the production process. The entirety of CO2 emissions is then absorbed by Oxygen, which is the forest created and cared for by the brand, where cocoa, orange, coffee, avocado, and mango trees are planted from time to time in six different countries of the world.

At lunch with Archiproducts Ambassador

10 architects attended a business lunch for the launch of the Archiproducts Ambassador program

On Thursday 7 November, 10 architects visited Via Tortona 31 to learn more about the features of the Archiproducts Ambassador program. A working lunch which gave professionals a first-hand look at the potential of a tool allowing users to manage all stages – selection, estimate calculation and purchasing – within a single online space.

Available exclusively to a limited number of architecture studios, Ambassador simplifies the product search and procurement process, offering access to a system of exclusive benefits and features. A true digital workspace that drives interaction and dialogue with customers and allows designers to present creative concepts using digital moodboards.

Ten Architects attended the event: Filippo Chiesa Ricotti (Gruppo Tre Architetti), Luca Donzelli (Luca Donzelli Architetto), Caterina Pilar Palumbo (Caterina Pilar Palumbo), Elisa Monico (Easy Relooking), Stefano Manzini (Stefano Manzini), Andrea Benedetti (Andrea Benedetti Architetto / Panificio Architecture Workshop), Mariana Martini (Studio Mariana Martini), Fanni Szarvas (Studio Mariana Martini), Mirko Calasso (Mirko Calasso), Andrea Ceriani (Andrea Ceriani).

The architects had the opportunity to get to grips with Ambassador by browsing Archiproducts in “pro” mode. By becoming Ambassadors, designers can select products from 600 brands and organize them for projects, and create and share quotes, interacting with customers at every step of the design process.

Fujifilm launches the X-Pro3: the new “analog” bursts through the screen

Industry professionals and the media get a preview of the new mirrorless camera “with an analog soul”

The new X-Pro3 brings back the joy of photography through its 3-inch rear display and hidden screen. Fujifilm launched its intentionally retro digital camera at Archiproducts Milano. Here, industry professionals and the press had the chance to put it to the test and enjoy a digital experience with all the charm of analog.

Over 40 professionals and journalists attended the preview and roamed around Zona Tortona in search of the perfect shot. The Fujifilm X-Pro3 was particularly appreciated for its materials, finishes, and details that are a nod to analog cameras.

In fact, all the settings are adjusted using mechanical dials. The few buttons on the body of the camera are used to navigate the menu and set the focus.

The model’s real novelty, however, lies in its screen: a hidden panel that is designed to be impractical. This bold choice aims to revive the early days of photography before shots could be previewed.

An Instagram-worthy home

10 architects present their idea of an “Instagrammable” home to an audience of potential customers

In Via Tortona 31, Architecture and Interior Design meet the world of social media. On Saturday, October 19th, the first event organized by Architects Filippo Chiesa Ricotti (Gruppo Tre Architetti) and Luca Donzelli (Luca Donzelli Architetto) took place to make professionals have a closer look at how social media have changed the way we design.

During the event, 10 architects and designers were invited to present their “tactile” mood boards to communicate their own idea of style in an interior design project.

Browse the gallery of the event

More than 50 architects and interior designers attended the event to experiment with a new way of communicating their work, exploring the potential and benefits of social media. Above all, the opportunity to have a closer contact with their followers, customers and brands operating in the building and interior design field, generating a huge virtual network of contacts.

Together with the two organizers, 8 young professionals were involved: Caterina Pilar Palumbo, Elisa Monico, Stefano Manzini, Andrea Benedetti, Mariana Martini, Mirko Calasso, Andrea Ceriani and Tommaso Spinzi.

The choice to present “tactile” mood boards stems from the desire to give substance to the design idea, which begins to take shape through the choice of finishes, palettes and materials.

The event was supported by 10 sponsor brands: Turati Cucine, the Altaeco Group (Ceramica Bardelli, Vogue, Appiani), Boero Vernici, Bticino, Braga Pavimenti, Tecnografica, Cemento Line, Navoni Marmo, Marra Pavimenti and Acer with its ConceptD.

Pixie designed by Miniforms Lab

Pixie is inspired by the inner child in all of us. It is an invitation to keep dreaming, share a meal around the table, have fun, and work.

Ozz designed by Paolo Cappello & Simone Sabatti

Ozz is multi-purposed. Its tuning fork shape splits into two elements: a lamp and a tray for objects. These elements face each other and dance to the light’s well-defined rhythm. When off, Ozz becomes a small table. When on, it creates a warm, embracing space of light around the tabletop.

Kolos designed by Yonoh Studio

Kolos emerges from the gesso mold of a ceramics workshop. Artisans glaze its surface, then fire it. The edges absorb less color and become lighter, while the pigments concentrate and darken the rounded areas. This coffee table carries high aesthetic value, and its artistic significance ironically interprets the Colosseum’s architecture.

Barry designed by Alain Gilles

Barry designed by Alain Gilles

Barry is a patterned table that plays with volume perceptions between robustness and lightness. The legs, which are the design feature, decisively curl up to create a strong, dynamic table.

Ramblas designed by e-ggs

Ramblas designed by e-ggs

With its sleek wooden lines and minimalist charm, Ramblas makes for an evocative sideboard. Its hinged doors resemble the classical form of a bookcase. The piece comes in three sizes.

Claretta designed by Florian Schmid

Claretta designed by Florian Schmid

Sleek lines define Claretta and its Parisian character, which is inspired by the traditional bistrot chair. Rounded legs firmly meet its back that tilts slightly upward to ensure maximum comfort. Armrest and stool versions are also available. Up to five chairs can be stacked.

Geronimo designed by Paolo Cappello

Geronimo designed by Paolo Cappello

Geronimo is a totem, a pop icon, and a minimalistic table that also expands. It is designed for small spaces.

Jumbo designed by Paolo Cappello

Jumbo designed by Paolo Cappello

Jumbo is a writing desk that meets the functions and needs of a home office. It is a great fit for small rooms. A caressing metal band embellishes and volumizes its top ledge. Jumbo also has a small drawer.

Juice designed by e-ggs

Juice is a statuesque table defined by its base of long wooden legs that grasp and envelope the lower ring. Its structure is a balance of full and empty spaces that creates a calm, grounded feeling.

Botera designed by e-ggs

Botera designed by e-ggs

The upholstered Botera is designed for comfort. The back, high or low, extends from a cushioned armchair. This adds modularity to the object. Composition gives Botera a sense of commonality and friendliness. It breaks down the last barriers between home and office to create a hybrid space that is soft and personal.

The Archiproducts Milano “Contemporary Windows”

Via Tortona 31 storefronts are the backdrop for the new WHITE Show exhibition format

The 2019 edition of WHITE Milano closes with nearly 28,000 visitors, 550 brands on display, and a 9% increase in foreign buyers. This demonstrates a path of unstoppable growth for the womenswear show. Every year, Tortona becomes the epicenter of women’s fashion through a creative combination of brands that highlights Italian and international companies.

For the first time, Archiproducts Milano’s storefront has turned into a frame for Lombardy’s top retailers’ legacy at Contemporary Windows. This new exhibition format has been created by WHITE, Camera Buyer Italia, and the Lombardy Region to bring together buyers and luxury multibrands.

Twelve top buyers selected by Camera Buyer Italia, in turn, chose 12 brands to exhibit within Archiproducts Milano’s windows. These brands included: Banner (Milan) with Bethany Williams, Base Blu (Varese) presenting Alessandra Rich, Bernardelli (Mantua) together with Jejia, Biffi (Milan) with Eudon Choi, Cose (Cremona), and MCLXX Street Couture. Further, Il Sellaio (Casatenovo) with Rotate, Lattuada (San Vittore Olona) and Ganni, LungoLivigno (Livigno) with Alanui, Mantovani (Carate Brianza) together with Saloni, Penelope (Brescia) and Natasha Zinko, Rail (Brescia) with Marine Serre, Tony Boutique (Magenta) with Stand, and Tessabit (Como) together with Nanushka.

Each Lombard shop told its own story through multimedia installations, while the first floor welcomed members of the international press and womenswear professionals.  “The Lombardy Region strongly supports initiatives like this,” says Alessandro Mattinzoli, City Council Member for Economic Development, “especially in a leading sector such as fashion, where Lombardy excels both in terms of the high quality of the producers and key trade fairs, giving prestige and visibility to the sector. These are opportunities for growth, also because of their major international appeal.”

“This is an extraordinary edition, not only for the significant increase in foreign buyers but also and above all for their high-quality level,” says Massimiliano Bizzi, Founder of White. “This remarkable achievement comes from Whites’ excellent teamwork, where staff selected a combination of brands capable of reaching our set goals, bringing SMEs to the forefront, and enhancing the production chain. It is an important result for us and the companies working with us. Today, Milan is experiencing a moment that is vital for the whole fashion system. Together, all of us in this industry must seize this opportunity. In my opinion, cooperating in fashion must be the new fashion.”

Top international buyers who participated in the 2019 edition of the womenswear show included: Le Bon Marché (Paris), Galeries Lafayette (Paris), Harvey Nichols (London), Selfridges (London), and El Corte Ingles (Madrid) for Europe, Intermix (New York), The Webster (Miami), Bosco Dei Ciliegi (Moscow), Helene Marlen (Kiev), I.T. (Hong Kong), Club 21 (Singapore), Isetan (Tokyo), Al Ostoura (Kuwait City), and Be More (Dubai).
