Archiproducts and Pinterest Together at Milano Design Week 2021

Pin Idea in every room in via Tortona 31 let visitors ‘copy’ the looks and buy the products online on Archiproducts

Pinterest comes to Archiproducts Milano for 2021 Milan Design Week. Anyone looking for inspiration can come to via Tortona 31 to enjoy a total Phygital experience. Pincodes in every room let visitors access information about the products on display, which can also be purchased on the Archiproducts platform.

Let’s get Phygital!

Archiproducts Milano imagines the space of the future in this year’s project/installation entitled Future Habit(at). The “future of living” is an important topic for the retail world with a furniture sector showing a marked shift towards e-commerce. Does this mean that the physical store will disappear? Archiproducts wanted to respond by exploring the potential of a more “phygital” customer experience – in collaboration with Pinterest, the world’s leading visual discovery engine for anyone looking for inspiration.

Each of the fifteen rooms in Via Tortona 31 will be outfitted with Pinterest’s personalized Pincodes that visitors can use to discover the new exhibit  – room by room, product by product.

How will interaction with Pinterest work? Visitors open the Pinterest app on their devices and scan the Pincode using the camera displayed in the app’s search bar. They then access the board dedicated to the Pin Ideas for that room. This is one of Pinterest’s latest innovations. Pin Ideas are a new kind of multi-page Pin that allows creators to share inspirational content in an exciting and immersive way through videos, images, descriptions and more. Each Pin Idea provides all the information about the products on display in the room. In just a few clicks, users can shop on Archiproducts and “copy the look”.  Archiproducts Milano 2021 – Future Habit(at) – PincodeCreated in collaboration with Studio Salaris and 60 international brands, this year’s Archiproducts Milano installation was created with the desire to anticipate scenarios that interpret future lifestyles. The keywords for this new edition are technology – increasingly silent and devoid of traditional interfaces – and cocoon spaces – opportunities for shared intimacy.

Collaboration with Pinterest – the visual discovery engine with over 450 million monthly visitors and million Home Décor, Design and Architecture searches every month – is one of the many initiatives promoted by Archiproducts Milano this year. The goal is to create an interactive and multimedia journey to the soft side of technology, previewing new ways of understanding shared space in today’s ‘new normal’ in pursuit of sustainability, aesthetics and comfort.

This WHITE Show edition comes with a whole new “Archiproducts Experience”

Archiproducts Milano among the four locations of the fashion trade show: from Fiorucci, A.F. Vandevorst and Modefabriek pop-up stores, The Belgian Focus selection and a special consultancy service for retailers, here’s how via Tortona 31 is gearing up for the event

As the WHITE Show fast approaches, the Tortona design district is gearing up to host the fair’s upcoming edition. From September 21 to 24, Milan will be once again the perfect background for one of the unmissable events in fashion, and buyers are ready to attend and discover the latest in womenswear. Archiproducts Milano will be – for the first time – among the 4 official locations of the event, that this year counts 564 brands, establishing itself as a launching pad for niche brands, emerging talents and labels interested in the easy-to-buy market. For the occasion, Tortona 31 will wear its best dress to offer a unique Archiproducts Experience, a sensorial path including the Fiorucci and A.F. Vandevorst pop-up stores and The Belgian Focus and Modefabriek emerging designers.

Archiproducts Milano wears Fiorucci

2018 F/W womenswear collection by Fiorucci,

Fiorucci is more than a fashion brand. It’s an Italian story, that began in Milan in 1967, when Elio Fiorucci was defined the “champion of democratic fashion”. 31 years later, Fiorucci is back: the label was named Special Guest of this fair’s September edition and is ready to steal the show with an exclusive pop-up store at the Archiproducts Milano ground floor. Here buyers and press will have the chance to purchase items from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2018 collection, played on brilliant holographic fabrics, jersey, vinyl, denim t-shirts and oversize sweatshirts. The iconic fashion brand and the phygital innovative experience provided by Archiproducts are two all-Italian realities that meet for the first time, offering an insight on art, fashion and design.

A.F. Vandevorst, Modefabriek e The Belgian Focus

For the first time ever, WHITE Show is selling directly to the public, choosing Archiproducts Milano as the perfect venue for the Fiorucci, A.F. Vandevorst and Modefabriek temporary shops.

Together with Fiorucci, the ground floor will host a special selection of Dutch designers from the trade show Modefabriek (Femmes Du Sud, Ruigrok Vd W, Maium, A.Bostroem, Daily Paper, Kings of Indigo).

A.F. Vandevorst will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special installation and a temporary shop, where to buy an exclusive capsule collection designed exclusively for WHITE Show Milano, including t-shirts, bags and womenswear. The duo will provide a sensorial experience that highlights and expands upon the brand’s creative approach and passion for the arts.

The Belgian Focus is the special project created in full synergy with Flanders District of Creativity, the Belgian platform supporting and promoting emerging creative hubs. Seven among them (Ophelia Lingerie, Morobé, Marylène Madou, Lies Mertens, Mooiloop, Studio Collect, Helder Antwerp) will offer an insight on the next-generation Belgian creativity and craftsmanship. The result is a complete miscellaneous womenswear offer, from dresses to shoes, from leather goods to lingerie, up to jewelry.

Archiproducts + Nike: run, Milano, run!

Archiproducts Milano for Nike Run and Architecture, the race around the city’s architectural and artistic landmarks

Seven young athletics future stars and a race aimed at discovering the city of Milan. Run and Architecture is the second of the seven race meetings 2018 organized by Nike featuring the Flying Girls. The race testimonial was Micol, one of the crew members with the passion for architecture. The girl guided the runners around Milan architectural landmarks, together with the architect Giulio Ceppi. A unique itinerary wrapped up in a 90-minute mile covering 7.8 km and broke down into 4 legs, that had its finish line at Archiproducts Milano.

The Archiproducts Milano staff welcomed the girls with a rich buffet and guided them around the showroom’s 2018 setup, showing them all of the 70 international brands partner of #TheDesignExperience. At the end of the race, Giulio Ceppi had some gifts for the ladies: a bunch of collages mixing the athletes photos with artworks pictures.

The runners started from Nike headquarters – where they got their Nike running shoes and gear – and headed to Piazza Gae Aulenti, where Giulio Ceppi talked about the iconic architect and the future of the city’s design and urban environment.

The exhibition “Scollamenti Temporali” was the second stop of the race. The runners reached the Milano Triennale to discover some of Giulio Ceppi’s works, including a series of collages combining photos of women, Art, Fashion and Lifestyle.

The church of San Bernardino alle Monache was the last stop before crossing the finish line at Archiproducts Milano. Here the girls could admire the frescoes connected to the story of Floriana Crivelli, founder of the original cloister.

Rouge Margaux for the first time in Milan

The Parisian label’s new collection was unveiled for the first time in Milan in via Tortona 31

WHITE Show is going international and it definitely has its ducks in a row. In fact, it features, as this edition’s special guest, “Rouge Margaux”, the Parisian label created by the Art Director Cem Çinar in 2016. The new collection of the French brand arrives for the first time in Milan, after the launch in Paris and the presentations in Seoul, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Archiproducts Milano went beyond any expectations and spruced itself up to host the French label’s collection Italian launch.

“I’m so thrilled to take part in this new adventure and expand the boundaries of Rouge Margaux” – said the Art Director Cem Çinar – “We are so happy to increase the presence of our brand overseas by launching our new collection in a city that’s totally new to us, like Milan, after Paris and New York fashion weeks. It’s great to do this by collaborating with WHITE.”

A new balance between fashion and design

Milan Fashion Week 2018 started with Chicca Lualdi runway at Archiproducts Milano

The Chicca Lualdi fall show opened this year’s Milan Fashion Week with a collection that aimed at celebrating elegance and class. For the stylist, in fact, fashion is far from any ostentation and only simplicity can make women stand out from the crowd. Archiproducts Milano was the perfect venue to host the stylist’s creations, inspired by the design masters and dedicated to working women who can’t say no to the latest trends. For outfits that hit the right balance between bold contrasts and a sober style.

Eye-catching geometries – inspired by modern architecture – are the main feature of a collection whose volumes, materials, and colors soften up rigorous shapes to offer a new perspective on modern femininity. Chicca Lualdi celebrates working women who prefer a daily and sporty version of elegance. “My inspiration comes from the great masters of design” – explains the stylist – “From Gio Ponti to Bonalumi.”

A Chicca Lualdi woman wears a mix and match of both masculine and feminine elements, regimental fabrics and original combinations of colors and materials. The collection’s hero pieces definitely are the multicolor striped mink items, pleated pinstripes and liquid silk, able to add a romantic touch to the most rigorous outfits.

Highlights were in the knitwear, with cashmere pieces in bold nuances. Fur creates an interesting contrast with fabrics, while tailoring finds its highest expression in double-faced coats.

At the heart of Italian Design

Archiproducts Milano is part of Architectour’s Design Tourism itineraries

Practice, culture, lifestyle. Architectours has its own idea of Experiential Tourism: a series of itineraries through Italian Design with the aim of building an international network of connections between Architects, Interior Designers and brands. Archiproducts Milano proudly supported this groundbreaking reality in custom-made tourism,  converting into the ideal setting for a 3-days workshop dedicated to 30 Indian Architecture students. From an idea to a finished product, Made in Italy Design is the manifesto of a bold creative industry able to combine innovation and craftsmanship on an international level.

Theory+Practice. Archiproducts Milano and Architectours came together to take students deep into the heart of Italian Design. Itineraries turn into experiences offering hands on demonstrations on Made in Italy Architecture. The 30 Indian students explored all the steps of product concept Design, along with production processes, the latest in technology and several material features. All “live” in via Tortona 31.

Archiproducts is partner of the Architectours project. “With our partners we are working on some new projects. For example, together with Archiproducts and Archiportale we are working on further developments of industrial tourism. We aim at expanding, spreading design tourism in many different Made in Italy sectors, such as car design and fashion design.” – explains Daniele Prosdocimo, Architectours founder.

Enjoy your visit at the most interesting Italian Design headquarters. Architectours is not “just tourism”, but a network and a communication project that builds a storytelling path where the main character is the brand itself. Far from the typical stereotype of the archi- and design- star, Daniele Prosdocimo’s startup emphasizes the creative and productive features of the Italian industry.

Design tourist–tailored itineraries. Architectours considers all the needs and interests of Architects, Interior Designers and Architecture and Design students. A very specific target that usually visits Italy not only for its dynamic industry but rather to explore the Italian lifestyle and the cultural heritage the country offers as a brand.

Archiproducts Milano plays with Linecheck

Music and Design meet at CASA LINECHECK

Design has its own rhythm. Archiproducts Milano strikes the right note playing with Linecheck, one of the most important events of the Milano Music Week. The music festival is at its third edition and aims at becoming a benchmark for professionals and music lovers. Via Tortona 31 proved to be the ideal setting for the Music Meeting Festival’s lineup of talks, showcases and discussions, turning into CASA LINECHECK: the space that hosted the event’s three-days program dedicated to the B2B side of the international music industry.

Linecheck is the meeting point for the main actors of the music industry. Over 600 professionals – among international speakers and some of the Italian market leaders – took part in this third edition, aiming at spreading ground-breaking ideas and projects. The festival was the right occasion to take stock of Italy’s music industry’s current situation in relation to the global scene.

180 speakers, 400 delegates and 20 artists performed at the event. Archiproducts Milano teamed up with the Linecheck to explore the connection between Design and Music. A collaboration that started on November 8th with the official presentation of the festival’s lineup and ended with the CASA LINECHECK’s closure.

Smart home, smart living

Archiproducts Milano and BTicino offer the chance to learn more about the connected and smart houses, while having breakfast

Talking of a connected house whilst sipping coffee. As the Internet of Things evolves, Archiproducts Milano and BTicino are offering professionals the chance to stay up to date and learn more about two innovative products defying the traditional concept of “home”. We are talking of Smarther, the new connected thermostat and Classe 300X, the connected video internal unit. The ideal setting for these breakfast meetings is via Tortona 31, where the Archiproducts Milano staff welcomes guests with a rich buffet.

The first of these four scheduled morning appointments took place last October 26th, kicking off a series of meetings dedicated to Architects and professionals. BTicino offers them a hands-on demonstration on two “smart” solutions in response to the increasing demand for smart home devices. The event has a limited number of places available: only 25 selected Design Studios will attend this exclusive training opportunity, that perfectly fits with the cosy friendly breakfast atmosphere.

Thanks to the “open time” option – from 9am to 11am – professionals can easily manage their own participation. Whether it lasts ten minutes, half an hour or just the time for a coffee, guests can enjoy a full-immersion experience, learning more about the smart house directly from the BTicino’s experts. A both training and informal event, since Architects can test the objects’ features whilst drinking a cappuccino or eating a croissant.

At the end of the first meeting, every guest received a Smarther thermostat as gift, to relive the connected house experience at their own homes.

Subscribe now! Only 25 places available for each date, reserved to selected Design Studios. The #eliotmornings breakfast meetings will take place on November 16th,  November 30th and December 12th. “Open time” option, between 9.00 am and 11.00 am, at Archiproducts Milano, via Tortona 31.

L’Officiel’s pastel vision

When fashion and interiors collide: Archiproducts Milano becomes a pastel-hued setting for L’Officiel’s photoshoot

The common thread between fashion and design is colour. Thanks to Karel Losenicky’s vision – and the right amount of pastel – L’Officiel revealed its own interpretation of a selection of the emerging fashion designers from this year’s WHITE show.

Dresses, accessories and fabrics, all matching with the spaces of Tortona 31.

Sadie Clayton’s pale pink parka  blends smoothly with the light green wall relief coverings NASTRI, TRECCIA and CAOS by 3D Surface. The result is a chromatic composition where soft volumes play with a three-dimensional space.

3D Surface’s PIZZO’s white-on-white texture emphasizes the SSHEENA gloves’ red hue. The neutral, dim shades of the Situationist jacket create a proper contrast. But the real eye-catcher of this picture is the expression of an ethereal Daria Baxoba.

Assistant photographer: Roberto Grandi
Post  Production: Alessandra Distaso
Contributor: E  Fashion Dept.

Shades of blue and scarlet: Martina Spetlova and SSHEENA on a powder pink Billiani.

Situationist and Billiani as a scale of grey. From the light grey chair, to the glossy black SSHEENA boots.

The dark green coat by Salvatore Vignola brightens up the black shape of CAP by True Design. The fabric plays with length, so that from sleeves only fingers come out. All eyes on the bag by Roberto Di Stefano.

A tender pink atmosphere for a soft-touch ambience. As soft as SP01’s armchair.
